The Chaffey Community Museum of Art member exhibition closed on 12 January. The show running parallel, the AIR Show (Artist Inventory Reduction Sale) also closed at the same time.
One piece, Le Rêve: Third Day of Creation, was included in “Imagination” which is the exhibition allowing artists to present a piece created within the year.
The Air Show is a sales focused event with works priced at $25, $50, $75 or $100 each. Members may submit up to five works for the sale, which benefits the museum and the artist. Of the five works I put in, three were placed with, hopefully, people to whom they spoke (or at least said “Buy me”).

One of the placed works is Nara Messenger, which was the last piece I created in 2018. Nara Park including associated shrines in Japan is known for the deer population, which wander the grounds unmolested. The tradition is that these deer are sacred, having inherited the respect given to their forerunner as the vehicle for the god Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto. They are considered divine beings.
